Seth

Seth was founded in 1995 and from the beginning, the band’s goal was to mix the black metal sylphur of all types with poetic and romantic elements. After recording a demo and an EP, the band got to work on their debut album and in 1998, they released into the world Les blessures de l’âme. It is one of the most important records in the rich tapestry of French black metal, wherein darkness and mighty melodies coalesce. The subsequent three records of the band, which traverse similar stylistic territories as their debut with some venture into symphonic or dissonant nooks and crannies, have also become modern classics. In 2005, Seth disbanded, though they did come back six years later. The Bordeaux band’s latest album is La France des maudits.
