Helloween to heavymetalowi herosi. Są jednymi z pionierów nurtu w Europie, a ich dokonania z lat 80. – zwłaszcza obie części „Keeper of the Seven Keys” – to wykładnia nurtu. Łączą metalowy pęd i patos z hardrockową przebojowością czy odrobiną wirtuozerii. Ich przeboje wciąż urzekają witalnością i fantazyjnością. Te dwa elementy będą dominować podczas koncertu grupy na Mystic Festival.
Historia:
Powstałe w 1983 roku Helloween to jedni z pionierów europejskiego heavy metalu. Swój charakterystyczny styl, oparty na klasycznym heavy/speed metalu, wypracowali już na wysokości debiutu. „Walls of Jericho” była świadectwem dużych możliwości i ambicji Niemców, ale najlepsze dopiero miało nadejść. Wydane rok po roku obie części „Keeper of the Seven Keys” zapewniły zespołowi miejsce w ścisłej metalowej czołówce na Starym Kontynencie.
W pierwszej połowie lat 90. zespół poszukiwał nowej tożsamości. Wydawane w tamtym czasie płyty ukazywały bardziej hardrockową, a momentami po prostu rockową i przebojową stronę Helloween. Powrót do korzeni przyszedł w drugiej połowie tamtej dekady, za sprawą fantastycznego „The Time of the Oath”. Od tamtej pory zespół nagrywa płyty z klasycznym metalem na najwyższym poziomie. Ostatnia, czyli „Giants & Monsters” z 2025 roku, jest świadectwem imponującej formy Helloween.
