Behemoth is almost done burning and plundering Europe, and as you’re reading these words they are be on their way to South America, where they’ll promote their new album “Opvs Contra Natvram”. Nergal and his comrades invade every part of the world with their diabolic spectacle, but the chance to play at their home territory will be a special treat.

The most popular Polish metal band was formed in October 1991 in Gdańsk and performed under the name Baphomet until 1992. At first, the group played black metal. Then they began to lean towards death metal, abandoning pagan themes in favour of broadly defined occultism and Satanism. For more than twenty years, the content of the albums, as well as the lyrics, have been co-written by Krzysztof Azarewicz, who is the founder of the publishing house Lashtal Press.

Behemoth is the first band in the history of Polish pop music whose release in 2007 reached number 149 on the Billboard sales chart, while in Poland, the band’s eighth album, “The Apostasy”, reached number nine on the OLiS chart. Behemoth has also been published in magazines such as Kerrang!, Metal Hammer, L.A. Weekly, New York Times, Revolver and Decibel Magazine, which ranked Adam “Nergal” Darski at number 17 on its Top 20 Death Metal Guitarists list.
