Belphegor

Belphegor was formed in 1991 in Salzburg. The band was founded by its unflagging and unchanging frontman, the guitarist and vocalist Helmuth Lehner, known simply as Helmuth. From the very beginning, the band has been consistently building their image, combing black/death metal aesthetics with perverse sexual and satanic subtext to their lyrics. Controversial as it might have been, it has also worked, their unwavering popularity but a testament to that. From their first demo, Bloodbath in Paradise, they were an intense presence in the underground, then fortified by the release of their debut album The Last Supper. The widespread, international acclaim came with the subsequent albums such as Blutsabbath, Lucifer Incestus, Bondage Goat Zombie, and Conjuring the Dead. They’ve already come to Poland a dozen of times, and during each visit, they sounded like bloodthirsty hounds ready to tear us apart. Come summer, seeing how they’re still in peak form, you can expect an equally uncompromising performance.
