In the prehistoric age, they were a grind duo. Currently, they’re one of the bright stars of the new generation of metal who combine the feral energy of metalcore with groove metal and masterful melodies. Rage and frankness – that’s Employed to Serve for you.
History:
Employed to Serve started out in 2011, initially as a non-committal grindcore project of Justine Jones and Sammy Urwin. Almost immediately they were joined by James Jackson, Jamie Venning and Robbie Back. In 2012, they released the EP Long Time Dead, with more EPs following a one and two years later. Their mixture of metalcore, hardcore, groove metal and nu-metal made them quite famous, especially with the release of their fourth record, Conquering. To promote it, the band toured the whole world, for example as the supporting act for Gojira. The British band will come down to Mystic Festival to promote their latest album, Fallen Star.
