Faetooth? As in fairies? Yes, that’s right – Featooth describes themselves as fairies playing doom metal. They approach the genre with a dose of modernity and a lack of shame, gracefully pushing it into the structure of shoegaze or event post-hardcore. They play as beautiful as they play heavy.
History:
Faethooth is a band made up of three friends – Jenna Garcia, Rah Kanan and Ari May. The LA trio decided to play doom metal which goes beyond doom, thus inventing “fairy doom metal” which encapsulates the complexity of the band’s style. So far, they’ve released an EP and an LP, Remnants of the Vessel, both of which were met with enthusiasm and positive reviews.
