Hatebreed

Founded in 1994, Hatebreed is a band of remarkably hardcore pedigree and paradigm, so they started out in a typically hardcore fashion – forging their path through the local woods. In 1995, they released their first demo and passed it around among friends from their hometown Bridgeport. In 1996, the EP Under the Knife saw the light of day, and its quality and accompanying increase in live performances led to the band signing with Victory Records – one of the most important labels of the American hardcore. The band’s debut album, released on the label, Satisfaction Is the Death of Desire, has become a classic record and continues to be seen as a pioneering work of the metalcore and beatdown scene. They toured more and more. Hatebreed travelled the world at the side of such giants as Slayer or Deftones and gained fans of markedly metal predisposition. Their subsequent records, i.e. Perseverance, The Rise of Brutality and Supremacy, only made them bigger. Everything that they have released since, from For the Lions to most recent Weight of the False Self, has solidified their legend status. The band is currently at work on a new album.
