Hideous Divnity is a must-see for all of those who think death metal should be, first and foremost, the sharpest it can be. The Italians are the practitioners of the most technical and brutal form of death metal. They come, they fillet the listener, and they exist – no soft chords get played.
History:
Hideous Divinity was formed in 2001 in Rome. They debuted with a demo that same year, but due to a huge number of personal issues, we had to wait a while for further moves from the Italians. In 2012, they came a-knocking with their first album, Obeisance Rising, which garnered a lot of praise. Since then, they’ve been touring regularly and releasing more material, cutting the audience to the bone with their brutal and technical death metal. Their latest release is Unextinct from last year.
