Midnight

In one of their iconic songs they proclaim that you can’t stop steel and live they spit hellfire from the stage, performing their foul black/speed metal. We bet you know these guys well, they are our recurring guest. Midnight at Mystic Festival is a foolproof source of pure energy.

History:

Midnight is, by and large, a one-man show with Athenar fully at its helm. Although the American musician has an amazing live band, he records and composes the majority of the project’s material entirely on his own. This method hasn’t failed him yet. After releasing a number of EPs, split and live albums, Midnight debuted in 2011 with Satanic Royalty, perhaps the band’s most quintessential album. With the record, Athenar whetted the long-lasting appetite for black/speed metal and he hasn’t really slowed down since. Midnight has stayed within the stylistic parameters set by their first record, keeping faith. This hellish rock’n’roll has expanded across six subsequent full-length records, the latest of which, Hellish Expectations, was released last year.
