Pure fury and destruction. The Spanish band Noctem does not approach the listener in a gentle fashion โ thereโs no slow and steady, only shredding at first sight. Itโs impossible to be indifferent about this blast-heavy marriage of black and death metal.
History:
Noctem was formed in Spain in 2001. For the first couple of years, they took things easy, not rushing anything, releasing two demos and a live album. Around a decade after forming, the Valencia band released their debut album, Divinity. Two years later, they followed up with their sophomore record, Oblivion, which garnered quite the attention for Noctem in the extreme black/death metal underground, made all the more pronounced with the release of their third record, Exilium. The bandโs latest record is the 2022 Credo certe ne cras.ย
