Soilent Green

Slow yet fast. Frighteningly heavy yet raging. Sludgey and grindy at the same time. Soilent Green are exemplary representatives of the New Orleanian metal where greasy riffs, omnipresent nihilism and musical might are paramount. They will cut us down with riffs gliding fast on the ground, only to then torpedo us with chaotic bursts of aggression. And we will happily take it all!

History:

The career of Solient Green, although long, does not abound in many albums or extensive touring. The band was founded in 1988 in a Louisiana suburb. From the very first demo the band released in 1989, the bandโ€™s style was crystal clear โ€“ a marriage of sludge, dominating heaviness with grind hyperactivity. The Americans cultivated the blend on all of their five subsequent albums, starting from the 1995 Pussysoul all the way to Inevitable Collapse in the Presence of Conviction, released 13 years later. Despite facing many hardships โ€“ such as the deaths of two band members in 2004 and 2005 โ€“ Soilent Green never went on a hiatus.ย
