Truckfighters

If a band comes from Scandinavia and plays stoner, they ought to be good โ€“ and Truckfighters are great. These personable Swedes are experts of old school riffs with fuzz amped to the max, though they are also no strangers to psychedelics or even krautrock. In short โ€“ they will submerge you in rock of the highest order.

History:

Truckfighters is a two-man band, hailing from the Swedish city of ร–rebro and formed in 2001. The only permanent members are Ozo (lead vocalist and bassist) and Dango (lead guitarist). Additionally, they are joined by different drummers, performing with the band on an on-and-off basis. During the first three years of their career, the Scandis released three split albums โ€“ all to great reception. A real surge in popularity came with the release of their debut record, Gravity X, and even bigger one washed in with the follow-up, Phi, released in 2007. Truckfighters have played plenty of concerts, they even made an appearance on the Swedish MTV and were one of the hottest stoner names in the late 2000s. In 2016, they released the album V and went on a one-year hiatus two years later. They are coming to Mystic Festival with their first new record in a decade, Masterflow.ย
