Changes in the Mystic Festival 2022 line-up: Carcass joins the Warm Up Day

Carcass, gods of grind’n’roll, will play a show on the Warm Up Day, replacing Napalm Death. Also, The Raven Age will play instead of Infected Rain, and the line-up will be joined by Brutus.

Carcass have always been great – since the first days, when they played around in guts and blood, till their swansong, when they played NWOBHM on steroids. After many years, they came back with a great album “Surgical Steel”, and this year they nailed it with “Torn Arteries”. But what about their live shows? They’ve always been precise and effective terminators. Carcass will replace Napalm Death in the Warm Up Day line-up.

Belgian Brutus – a posthardcorde and postmetal trio, with outstanding Stefanie Mannaerts on vocals and behind drums – plans to annihilate the Shrine stage as part of the Don’t Burn the Witch Day. Can they do it? Check out the recording of their live act “Live in Ghent”, and you won’t have any doubts about that.

The Raven Age play heavy metal. It’s probably genes, since the guitarist George Harris is the son of Iron Maiden’s founder, but it’s also natural for them – they do what they do best. Their melodic, traditional approach to the genre is enhanced by modern, metalcore influences – what spices their music up. The Raven Age will replace Infected Rain in the Mystic Festival line-up.

Mystic Festival 2022 will take place on 2-4th June 2022 at the Gdańsk Shipyard. Line-up includes Judas Priest, Opeth, Mercyful Fate, Killing Joke, Mastodon, Heilung, Saxon Katatonia, Mayhem, Mgła, Solstafir, Igorrr, Obituary, Baroness, Vader and Kvelertak.
