One of the most intriguing musical phenomena on the Polish metal scene and the band behind the excellent LP Pora umierać (“Time to die,” an album that really makes you want to live), followed by the equally good EP Nad którymi nie czuwa żaden stróż. Their sound is filthy, vulgar, and musty, to the point that it makes you wonder: Are these guys serious, or is this a pastiche of metal? Who cares? What matters is that Truchło Strzygi reminds us why metal used to strike terror in the hearts of our parents, our neighbors, and anyone who looked to music for beauty and harmony.
