In a blink of an eye, they moved from being a masked curiosity to enjoying the status of one of the most popular black/death metal bands of the recent years. The anonymous Kanonenfieber flawlessly combines First World War stories with melodic black/death metal. They broke the bank during Mystic Festival 2023, so it’s high time for a redo!
History:
The beginnings of Kanonenfieber date back to 2020. The project was founded by the anonymous musician that operates under the pseudonym Noise who’s entirely in charge of the project, plays on all the instruments on the recordings and live takes on the role of the vocalist. Their debut album, released in 2021, Menschenmühle, was a big hit and the three EPs released across 2022-2023 only solidified Kanonenfieber’s standing in the black/death metal underground. The German project’s latest album, Die Urkatastrophe, from 2024 premiered at number 3 of the German bestselling records chart.
