As is typical for Norwegians, Djerv are of the opinion that rock should be punchy and blaring, with a varying degree of darkness. The Oslo band, therefore, has been mixing alternative metal adapted to the 21st century with the black’n’roll element strongly in the background. History:
Djerv was born in 2009 in Oslo. In 2010, they introduced themselves to the world properly with a strong EP, Headstone, and in 2011, they released their full-length debut, a self-titled album. It ended up being a huge hit in Norway, debuting at number eight on the best-selling album chart. In support of the album, the band toured the better half of the world with such legends as Ministry. In 2013, in collaboration with Riot Games Music Team, they recorded the song “Get Jinxed,” which has amassed over 250 million hits on streaming platforms.
