Beautiful people, we have some awfully good news – Marilyn Manson will close one of the festival days with his sinister spectacle on the Main Stage.
He is chaos. From his 1994 album Portrait of an American Family to his latest, 20th full length record, One Assassination Under God, he has been painting, with sounds and words, terrifying portraits of not just American families, but the modern everyman, with all his flaws, anxieties and oddities. It’s no surprise, then, that not everyone looks to these portraits for their own reflection.
Shock rock, alternative metal, glam, industrial rock… they’ve tried to pin him down with many labels, but none of them manage to stick to something this expansive. Marilyn Manson reigns over his own artistic world, both the director and the lead actor of this apocalyptic theatre play, which he has brought to all the biggest stages in the world in the last three decades. In June 2027, for the first time ever, he will bring it to Mystic Festival.
