British Lion

Steve Harris, the iconic metal bass player, is not just Iron Maiden. Outside of his role as the biggest star of NWOBHM, the artist plugs the four strings in the band British Lion, a project that means business. They bring hard rock riffs, nostalgic melodies, and most importantly, hits luminous like stainless steel.

History:

The story of British Lion can be divided into two periods – the prehistoric (the 90s) and the contemporary age (from 2012 onwards). The band was founded by Richard Taylor and Graham Leslie in 1990, but disbanded two years later. Before the band imploded, the two musicians wanted Steve Harris to produce the demo they were writing at the time. The Iron Maiden member liked what he heard back then, and it’s precisely why, when the band reactivated in 2012, he stepped up to take over the helm of British Lion. That same year, they released their debut eponymous album, on which the Brits married the American and British sound of hard rock from the 70s. In 2020, the foursome released their sophomore album, The Burning, which remains their most recent release.
