Gaahl is a crucial figure in the world of black metal. Years have passed, yet he still frightens and he’s still authentic as hell. He has proven just as much across the years with Gorgoroth and many other projects he was part of, and today he continues to prove it with Gaahls Wyrd. This concert won’t be of cheap thrills and approximations of horror – it will make the audience face the heart of darkness itself.
History:
Right after God Seed disbanded in 2015, Gaahl announced his new project, aka Gaahls Wyrd. From the very early days of the project, the Norwegians toured intensely, playing both then-unreleased Gaahls Wyrd material and classics from the discography of Gorgoroth, God Seed and Trelldom. In 2019, the band released their debut record, GastiR – Ghost Invited, wherein we will find black metal of a more poetic persuasion that often takes on inspired and even progressive forms. Two years later, they followed it up with an EP The Humming Mountain and in 2025 came the band’s sophomore album, Braiding the Stories.
