They are the shining stars of metalcore, but their artistic ambitions and imagination reach far beyond the borders of the genre. They enchant with their grand melodies, their lead singer Eddie Berg tosses in some violin, and the final product is nicely finished off with the electro-alternative influences. Imminence truly is a treasure chest of talent.
History:
Imminence was born in the Swedish town of Trelleborg in 2009. They released their first EP already in 2010 and its successors, i.e. Born of Sirius and Return to Helios, two and three years later respectively. They didn’t slow down and took the world by storm with their 2014 debut album, which mixed the melodic parts of metalcore and the emotionality of post-hardcore. With each song they reached further and finally shattered the metalcore world with the album Turn the Light On released in 2019. That’s when they started playing for a bigger audience and broadened their style to include alternative and rock elements. In 2020, they released an acoustic reimagination of some of the songs off their album Turn the Light On. Then came two new albums and The Reclamation of I – the re-recording of the group’s debut album.
