They like riffs. Their band name comes from a Scottish breed of sheep, arguably the most metal-looking animals in the world. They’re a duo (a drummer and a bassist), playing an absolutely swinging rock’n’roll, punk, groove metal… It’s really hard to put into words – you just have to see it.
History:
The Hebridean Sheep is a German duo. It’s hard to describe their music with a single genre category – but in the simplest terms, what we’re talking about here is a mix of metal, rock and punk. They self-identify as punks, as their creative process is based on full-on improvisation and DIY. They concoct drum-bass sounds so delicious, you’ll hardly notice that there’s any standard rock instruments missing in the mix.
