Totenmesse

Expect metal that is sacrilegious, angry and brutal, and what’s more, dangerous. Any associations with Mayhem’s “Grand Declaration of War” or Satyricon’s “Rebel Extravaganza” are absolutely correct. Totenmesse prefer the slaughter of the innocent, whipping with blast and creating the atmosphere akin to swallowing razorblades.

History:

The origins of Totenmesse are somewhat unclear and not much activity was registered then. The band was born in 2016 in Kraków, and at the beginning it was formed out of Rzulty, Stawrogin, Bartollo, Priest and Void. Out of the five, only the first two remain in the formation to this day. The group from Southern Poland began their recording journey with their first demo in 2017. A year later, their next release “To”, their debut album, stirred up the black metal scene before it even premiered, mostly due to the lead single, “Istne gówno duszą cuchnie.” Soon after the release, the band went quiet. Totenmesse rose up again in 2022, when, after the departure of many members, the group gained a new vocalist, Mold, known, among others, from Loathfinder. Together, the Pagan Records artists released their latest album, “Fiktionlust”, in 2023.
