Mystic Festival 2024: Time to raise the flag of hate!

Kreator, pioneers of European thrash metal, as well as Fear Factory, High Vis and 1000mods are new additions to Mystic Festival 2024 program.

Kreator

Time to raise the flag of hate! Kreator has proudly held the banner for four decades. With their legendary first albums – “Endless Pain” and “Pleasure to Kill” – they laid the foundation for extreme metal in Europe, so Kreator’s influence can be heard today on hundreds, if not thousands of thrash, black and death metal albums. Equally fascinating are the later stages of the German group’s career, from their quest for new forms of expression to their return to thrash roots. All this colorful history and the equally thrilling present day – “Hate Ãœber Alles”! – will be told by Kreator at their show in Gdansk. Expect extreme aggression.

Fear Factory

No one expected this, because no one knew it was possible. Released in 1992, Fear Factory’s debut album “Soul of a New Machine” was a shock to the metal scene, a previously unknown combination of industrial and death metal. The band followed this up with subsequent albums – “Demanufacture” and “Obsolete” are absolute classics! – offering music that was both extreme and sterile, machine-like and soulless, but at the same time driven by the groove characteristic for the American scene of the 1990s. Despite numerous turbulences and lineup changes, the band invariably keeps going, recording and crushing bones at their shows.

High Vis

They formed in 2016 in London, but they didn’t start from scratch at that time. The members of the band already had a vast amount of experience in the British punk scene. They also had broad horizons, as High Vis’ music embraces almost the full legacy of the British guitar scene – from hardcore/punk to Madchester to Britpop. From fear to anger, from nihilism to hope, Graham Sayle’s lyrics carry the entire spectrum of emotions. After two major albums – “No Sense No Feeling” and “Blending” – and hundreds of shows, High Vis are considered one of the leaders of the flourishing British post-punk scene.

1000mods
They hail from Greece and you can hear that sun in their music, but you can also hear the Seattle rain. 1000mods move freely between slightly psychedelic stoner rock and grunge, between the melody of a catchy chorus and a heavy distorted sound. Their last album, “Youth of Dissent”, was produced by Matt Bayles, collaborator of Alice In Chains, Soundgarden and Mastodon, among others, so everything stays in the family.
