Bob Vylan

They preach the end of England, they are angry, sometimes they put on airs and generally snarl at the conventions. Who are they? Bob Vylan, that is a British hip-hop formation, who came on top of the trend both in their homeland and outside the Isles. Imagine rap in its most political, socially involved version, mixed with the punk rock wrath – that’s how they can be described. Prepare for an intense mosh pit!

History:

Bob Vylan is an English duo from London, whose music is what you get when you combine hip-hop and punk rock with a dash of metal. The project was born in 2017 and they had a strong artistic vision since the very beginning – to such a degree that they played their first concert just two weeks after forming the band. Almost in the same amount of time, the Londoners released their debut EP, “Vylan”, and twelve months later its successor – “Lunch”. Despite the initial disdain from the press, stemming from this specific and raw mixture of hip-hop and punk, the group step by step found favour with critics and fans. Their full-length debut, “Dread”, confirmed their status, later raised by their second album – “We Live Here”. The 2020 record turned out to be ground-breaking for Bob Vylan, and to promote it the group began, e.g. a tour with The Offspring. Despite their stable position in the worlds of both hip‑hop and punk, the group doesn’t stop. Their newest album, Humble as the “Sun” will be released in 2024 and you are sure to hear most of the songs from this recording during their set at Mystic Festival.
