The Shits

Their name is excrements, their music is rooted in the origins of noise rock, and on the stage, they are beasts – sometimes they even like to spit in the direction of the first rows. The Shits are a noisy, rude and basement rock. Well, Iggy Pop described them as “a better The Stooges.” You cannot argue with such endorsement.

History:

The Shits was formed in 2017 in London. They started as a tercet and – as is common for many bands – they began by hammering down random ideas tossed around in a garage. At the very beginning they decided the band was going to be gross, crude, talented and wonderful, all in one. Soon after the formation of the full band, that is including two additional members, the group started concerting. In 2018, they released their debut album, “Drink Your Blood”. In 2020, they tossed out their next release, “Punishment”, and their noise rock punk energy granted them many listeners. In 2023, their popularity rose mostly thanks to their newest album, “You’re a Mess”. During the tour promoting the album the band has played, among others, the prestigious festival Roadburn.
