Dool

In the lyrics of the title track of their latest album, “Summerland”, the band promises to meet the listeners in the land of summer. Sounds perfect in the context of our June festival, but don’t be misled – Dool’s no summer music. The Dutch band (personally connected with the sorely missed The Devil’s Blood) boasts hits straight from the gallows with a particularly dark tone. The group’s style could be described as the marriage of psychedelic meanderings and trances with dark rock elegance. Perfect for both singing and crying along.

History:

The beginning of the band’s story (2015) was also the end of two others, with the impelling force behind Dool’s creation being the quietus of The Devil’s Blood and Elle Bandita. It all began in Rotterdam, where the band quickly got things going.

In 2015, they released into the world their first single, “Oweynagat.” The three songs they released in quick succession preluded their debut album, “Here Now, There Then”. The extremely well-received album was supported by the band’s appearances at the stages of many reputable music festivals, with the notable mention of the 2016 edition of the Dutch Roadburn Festival.

Dool doubled down and in 2019, the band released the EP “Love Like Blood” and then a year later followed it up with their second and most recent full-length album – “Summerland”. Just like in the case of their debut, the album was warmly received and it was in the top ten of the best-selling album chart in Germany.
