Mimi Barks

She’s classified as trap metal although she describes her music as “doom trap” and really, when Mimi Barks shakes the scene, there is only one option left – doom. It’s a painfully raw, chaotic, and clinical metal which gets its cacophonic, cluttery dimension from trap beats, glitchy industrial and those of the most narcotic forms of electro. We can guarantee that you should not come close without earplugs, the Englishwoman will take you straight into a slaughterhouse.

History:

Mimi Barks’ music journey began in Germany, which is where she’s from. From a young age the artist has been swallowing up everything she could tear out of the vast Berlin music scene which directly inspired her layered style. Once she harnessed her music skills and moved to the UK, she didn’t have to wait long to take her next steps. In 2019, she presented the world with her first EP, “Enter the Void”, which grabbed the attention of many listeners due to the growing monopoly on trap metal. She took the world by storm three years later with a massive attack, releasing two EPs and her first mixtape, “Deadgirl”. The last of those propelled her career forward and the effects will be visible during our festival.
