Blasphemy

The most feral and animalistic forms of metal wouldn’t be the same without them. Blasphemy are so iconic that they released just two albums over thirty years ago, but the seed they sowed fundamentally changed black metal. Well, it is because of their “Fallen Angel of Doom” that war metal was born and first took shape. Live – they spare no one. Expect blasts, chaos, broadly speaking, insane picking and total satanism. This will be a performance that will make your bullet belt grow into your body on its own!

History:

1984 – in the breathtakingly beautiful Canadian city of Burnaby, one of the most disgusting bands of the world, Blasphemy, was created. The band was formed by two friends, who soon took on the already iconic pseudonyms, that is Nocturnal Grave Desecrator and Black Winds and 3 Black Hearts of Damnation and Impurity. Soon after they were joined by Caller of the Storms – the three of them remain in the band till this day. After the group was formed, what was left was naming it. They started as Antichrist, then changed their name to Desester, Thrash Hammer and only in 1987 were they reborn as Blasphemy.

Two years after stabilising their foundations the band hit the world with their first demo, “Blood Upon the Altar”. The material gained attention due to the higher levels of aggression and rawness than whatever was being released in the world of black and death metal, which made the Canadians well-known in the extreme underground. Just a year later the band made their full debut by presenting the world with “Fallen Angel of Doom” in 1990, which cemented the group’s reputation and guaranteed their first big tours, and with time became known as one of the most important albums in the history of black metal. In 1993, Blasphemy enriched their discography with a second full-length album, Gods of War, and to promote it they toured Europe with Immortal and Rotting Christ. Despite this, soon after the band went on a hiatus, sometimes going back on stage, just to disappear again. Nevertheless, since 2019 the crew hailing from the country of maple leaves regularly performs live. Their last fully fledged material is still the over thirty years old “Gods of War”.
