Wargasm

How can one describe Wargasm’s discography? The duo themselves might be of help since they call their artistic offer “angry songs for sad people.” And truly – there’s plenty of anger, with the addition of melancholy mixed with bitterness. Combine it with a concoction of nu-metal, industrial and digital hardcore, add a dash of lively concerts and you will not forget the name!

History:

Wargasm emerged in 2018 as an outcome of a blend of two unusual characters, that is the musician Sam Matlock and model Milkie Way. They met by accident (when Way was photographing a show of Matlock’s previous band) and soon found their common tongue through music. Without losing any time, they started writing songs with no specific stylistic key in mind, starting with an aesthetic that was closer to pop-punk. However, they left that convention behind once they worked together longer, deciding to stick with a mixture of nu‑metal, digital hardcore, industrial, post-hardcore and a couple other genres. Already in 2019, they played their first shows and released their debut singles. The world reacted fast. The group was releasing more and more and the media, including “NME” and “Alternative Press” immediately crowned them one of the most promising young groups, especially around the genre of nu-metal. In 2021, they received the award for Best UK Breakthrough during an award show organised by The Heavy Music Awards. Later on, they toured with Limp Bizkit and in 2023 they released their fully fledged debut album, “Venom”.
