Ghøstkid

Gloom, hits, rage, and self-reflection – that is Ghøstkid through and through.

Sebastian Biesler (of the previous Electric Callboy fame) needed a change of scenery – he wanted to retreat inwards and reclaim the joy of creating. Ghøstkid is the fullest embodiment of the German creator’s artistic vision. Here the alt-metal acrimonious bite marries the mechanical industrial and post-hardcore. Emotion comes first, but catchy melodies are never slow to follow.

The ideal recommendation for someone seeking an equilibrium of catchiness and introspection.

History:

Formed in 2020, Ghøstkid is the musical brainchild of Sebastian Biesler, who left Electric Callboy to explore other soundscapes. In 2023, the group released their self-titled debut album.

The band’s mixture of alt-metal and industrial (with reverberating echoes of post-hardcore) is a lot rawer and more personal than the one played by Biesler’s previous group, yet still catchy, creeping effortlessly into your ears.

Ghøstkid hasn’t recorded their sophomore album yet, they’ve managed to release four more singles since the premiere of their debut.
